Bose says the battery life on these will last for 10 hours and you can tweak the level of noise cancellation they produce.

It means if you’re walking to a coffee shop and want to be aware of traffic you can turn it down but then notch it up once you’re through the door and sipping on a brew.

The QuietControl 30 will also be available in September 2016 and will cost £229.95.
