Incredible ‘unique and rare’ photo catches the moment a live fish gets trapped inside a jellyfish

Tim Samuel was free diving in the waters off Byron Bay in Australia when he captured the rare sight. A nature photographer has captured the astonishing moment a live fish became trapped inside a jellyfish as it swam.

Posting the photo to Instagram it quickly went viral and was circulated around the world.

“Woke up this morning to my phone going crazy due to one my photos being reposted,” Tim said on the social network .

“We knew we had found something special, but had no idea just how unique and rare this sighting was.

“I’m completely blown away by all the attention it is getting from all over the world.”

Tim said that the fish was still alive and it wasn’t letting the fact it was inside another creature slow it down.

“He was trapped in there but controlled where the Jellyfish was moving,” he wrote on Instagram.
