On Jimmy Kimmel, NBA Stars Read Mean Tweets

Jimmy Kimmel Live indulged in its wonderful tradition of “Celebrities Read Mean Tweets” with some stars from the defending champion Golden State Warriors, Jimmy Kimmel’s pals on the Los Angeles Clippers, and NBA greats-turned-broadcasters like Shaq and Magic Johnson. What better way to celebrate the start of the NBA Finals than to have NBA players and sportscasters read the mean things people say about them online?

The slander is vicious. A sampling:

“One day Klay Thompson is going to leave the house without remembering to attach his goatee that he bought from Party City and it’ll be awkward.”

“Russell Westbrook look [sic] like Jar Jar Binks.” (sidenote: does Russell Westbrook really not know who Jar Jar Binks is? Because that’s amazing)

“Have you ever been downloading something online and halfway through it just froze and couldn’t go anywhere? Think Steph Curry’s puberty.”

I mean, you can make fun of Steph Curry’s babyface all you want, but at the end of the day he’s still the best basketball player in the world. He’s rubber, and the rest of us are glue with a hundred million fewer dollars and no championship rings, you know? The joke’s still funny, though.
