Hunter Cliff Walker insists he shot the crocodile on the Zambezi river in Zimbabwe
The photo, which shows three men standing on each other’s shoulder next to the dead animal, was slammed by people on Facebook after it was shared more than 12,000 times. A terrifying snap of a monster three-PEOPLE-high crocodile hanging from a tree has caused outrage on social media.
Zimbabwe-born Lynsey Clayton Saudan posted the picture in the UK, alongside a warning that people should avoid waters where the monster reptile was caught – which is believed to be in Zimbabwe.
On the post she wrote: “Now when they say don’t fish waste deep please LISTEN people this is a proper FLAT DOG.”
After people began debating where the photo was taken – with many claiming it could be in Australia – hunter Cliff Walker insisted he shot the crocodile on the Zambezi river in Zimbabwe.
In a reply to a fellow Facebook user, he wrote: “Hello don. For your information. Please note, I shot this crocodile in Zimbabwe on the Zambezi river, within my hunting concession.”

While many people had little sympathy for the dead animal, simply calling it “disgusting” and a “monster,” hoards of other people were shocked by the photo.
One objector, Ian Hays, wrote in reply to a comment about there being a high population of the animals: “So does that mean we can start killing humans because of our 8 billion human population?”
While Lori Curry stormed: “Nothing to be proud of. You people went to that poor animals (sic) home and killed it for no reason, just like a robber coming into your home and would kill you.
“There’s no justice in what you did there. It’s a shame your (sic) soooo proud.”
