Take a look at Tim Peake’s much-anticipated pizza

Tim’s going to get a pizza the action when he returns to earth

To welcome him back to earth on 18 June, Papa John’s will deliver a pizza of Tim’s choice. Pizza delivery firm Papa John’s has responded to Tim Peake’s desperate cry for the food after six months in space.

They’ve created a likeness of his face in edible form, the Tim Peake Peake-zza.

The mock-up features pepperoni, cheese and, of course, rocket.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast , Tim said that he is looking forward to coming back home in just over two weeks, and he’d really like to eat some junk food asap.

Despite having experienced the wonders of space – he says that his spacewalk gave him “an amazing feeling” – like the rest of us, he’s looking forward to coming home, ordering a takeaway and just chilling out.

He definitely deserves it.

Tim also mentioned missing salad and fresh fruit, possibly aware that his mother would be watching.

Don’t go too mad on the lettuce, Timbo – you’ve got PIZZA on the way!

Major Peake fully intends to continue his work with the European Space Agency, and looks forward to more British astronauts following in his moon boots, as he follows in Helen Sharman’s.

He also said that it’s been amazing watching the seasons change over our planet, and that’s given him wanderlust – the icy terrain of Patagonia being top of the list for a visit.

Major Peake has been on the International Space Station for just under six months. Since he’s been in space, he’s run the London Marathon , prank-called a pensioner and piloted a robot on the ground in England .

After all that, he definitely deserves a slice of pizza.

Question is, what is going to be on top of that first piece of divine Italian treat?
